The Academy at Independence is the only place in the valley with a facility that allows students to go from a comfortable classroom environment right into a premier indoor shooting range. Below are programs designed to help students progress through a specific discipline in firearms training.

FIRST TIME SHOOTING, BEGINNER

This program trains students, new to shooting, learn how to safely handle a gun for the first time. This program is also ideal for students that have not handled a firearm for a long time. 

HOME PROTECTION

Protect your home and what matters most. This program will train on how to defend your home and keep your loved ones safe. Learn to shore-up vulnerabilities, create preparedness, and turn your home into a castle. 

SECURITY & LE SERVICES

This program provides critical training for civil servants that are responsible for the safety of our community. This training takes a new student from the fundaments to advanced defense skills.  

TRAINED CITIZEN

This program will train today's citizen to feel prepared to safely conceal carry a firearm. You will acquire the knowledge and ability to defend yourself, and others, in a self-defense situation. 

JUST FOR WOMEN

This program will guide women on how to handle a firearm for the first time. Enjoy an exciting environment where concerns, questions, and achievements are shared with other females.

This program will train both new and seasoned sportsman and women for the great outdoors. Gain the knowledge you'll need to be better prepared,  more successful, and survive the challenges of hunting.

Take the next step with training that provides tactical advantages for self defense. This includes multiple disciplines, tactical accessories, environmental factors, and understanding the physiology in defensive situations.

Firearm training can be fun and immersive. This program offers opportunities for students to learn about different firearm platforms, firearm building, and an introduction to competitive shooting sports.

La Academia ofrece cursos en español para la comunidad de tiradores latinos. Este programa ayuda a eliminar las barreras del idioma para aprender la información correcta sobre el uso de armas de fuego.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

Individual instruction is critical to making sure you completely understand and feel comfortable with the safety and use of firearms. Victims of domestic abuse may qualify for free training with our Academy. 

Enroll and complete the following programs and receive a free $50.00 gift card from Independence Indoor Shooting: First Time Shooter/Beginner, Trained Citizen, Just For Women, Home Protection, Trained For The Hunt, Tactical Advantage, and Multiple Disciplines. 

Completion of classes to be counted towards program completion for a gift certificate must be completed after 01/01/2024 to redeem this benefit. Program completion is restricted to scheduling, no exceptions for early redemption or partial completion of a program. All redemptions can be redeemed with any of our pro staff  members. Your account must show a transaction for all the following classes in the program. Any class attended as a gift must be trackable with purchaser information.
