First Hunt & Gear Guide
The First Hunt & Gear Guide course is for new hunters, young or older, eager to enter the world of hunting with confidence. This comprehensive course provides essential knowledge about hunting practices, gear selection, and preparation, ensuring students are equipped for a safe and successful first hunting experience. This class is taught by a seasoned hunter, and also offers insights into hunting in Idaho, working with fish and game, and how to select your first hunt.

In-depth guide to selecting the right gear, including firearms, bows, ammunition, clothing, footwear, backpacks, and other essential equipment.
Instruction on selecting, handling, and maintaining hunting firearms and bows, tailored for beginners.
Tips on identifying game species, understanding their habits, and learning about hunting seasons.
What to include in your pack for day hunts, multi-day hunts, and survival contingencies.

Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult also enrolled in the course

Customers are welcome to bring in any hunting gear they have questions about, or how they have their hunting setups designed.

This class does not shoot on the range, you are welcome to bring your hunting rifle to discuss your setup. It must be unloaded and cased. Do not bring in any ammunition.
