Course Description
Firearm Safety For Educators
This class will equip educators and school staff with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance campus security while responsibly carrying a concealed firearm. Participants receive instruction on firearm safety, legal considerations, and tactical decision-making, ensuring they understand when and how to use force as a last resort. Through hands-on drills and real-world scenarios, educators develop confidence in responding to potential threats while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for students and staff.
Course Curriculum

Identifying potential security threats and recognizing suspicious behavior.
Developing protocols for lockdowns, evacuations, and active shooter situations.
Utilizing verbal techniques to defuse tense situations before they escalate.
Proper storage, maintenance, and safe handling of a concealed firearm.
Understanding state laws, liability, and the use of force in self-defense.
Practicing firearm deployment, accuracy, and response under stress.

Prerequisites
18-years-old and older is recommended
Must have basic experience and knowledge of firearm use, safety & concealment
A Independence Range Waiver must be completed before class begins

Open toed shoes, shorts, and low-cut tops should be avoided due to the chance of hot casings or debris touching the skin.

No gun? No problem! Let your instructor know you will need to use one of our guns, and we will take care of it for you at no cost (ammo will need to be purchased separately, though.). We will do our best to set you up with a gun that is appropriate for your specific needs.
