Course Description
EMERGENCY FIRST AID FUNDAMENTALS
Our Emergency First Aid Fundamentals class teaches you basic first aid and lifesaving techniques to be used in the event of a medical emergency.
You will learn how to properly assess a patient and how to deal with significant issues such as venous and arterial bleeding, compromised airway, head, chest, and spinal injuries, broken bones, burns, heart attacks, seizures, strokes, and more. Finally, students will learn how to build their own First Aid/Trauma Kit.
Course Curriculum

Learn from career professionals with years of experience offering first aid.
Learn the common terminology and most common injuries and how to treat them.
Learn the basics of how to use typical first aid supplies or tools for treating injuries.
The majority of this class teaches how the body reacts to injuries, exposures, and medical emergencies and how to identify them, and how to render aid (Pathophysiology).
80 percent lecture, 20 percent practical skills.
