Home Defense
The Home Defense course equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to create a safe and effective home defense plan. This course emphasizes the importance of preparation, situational awareness, and practical firearm training to protect oneself and loved ones in the event of a home intrusion. It also offers ideas and strategies to protect your home while you're away.

Prerequisites
18-years-old and older is recommended. Under 18 years old must be accompanied with a legal guardian and be able to demonstrate a learning attitude and physical ability to safely handle a firearm.
A Independence Range Waiver must be completed before class begins.

Just in the Classroom
Open toed shoes, shorts, and low-cut tops should be avoided due to the chance of hot casings or debris touching the skin.
Students will have the opportunity to shoot a few different shotgun styles and calibers. There may be other firearms available to demo if time allows that might be ideal for home defense. Ammo will be provided.
