Course Description
This class provides shooters with a comprehensive foundation in the safe, effective use of the AR-15 platform. Participants will learn the fundamentals of firearm safety, including proper handling, storage, accessorizing, and maintenance techniques, alongside detailed instruction on the mechanics and operation of the AR-15. Independence instructors will guide you through classroom discussions and practical, hands-on exercises, ensuring that you develop the confidence and skills needed for responsible handling.

Course Curriculum

Overview of the AR-15 platform, legal considerations, and essential firearm safety rules.
Detailed breakdown of AR-15 parts, functions, and operating mechanisms.
Hands-on instruction for correctly assembling and taking apart the firearm.
Explanation of different ammunition types, and proper loading techniques
Training in proper stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, and marksmanship basics.
Supervised range session focused on accuracy, handling, and sighting in.
Guidance on cleaning, routine maintenance, and resolving common operational issues.

Just in the Classroom

Open toed shoes, shorts, and low-cut tops should be avoided due to the chance of hot casings or debris touching the skin.

No gun? No problem! Let your instructor know you will need to use one of our guns, and we will take care of it for you at no cost (ammo will need to be purchased separately, though.). We will do our best to set you up with a gun that is appropriate for your specific needs.
