Developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and hosted by us! The biggest challenge for new shooters is getting started. First Shots makes getting started easy by teaching students the basics in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. This class is a great way to begin learning about the shooting sports!

Take your first shots in our state of the art live fire range with a .22 caliber

Who is the Course For?
Never Shot Before: This program is designed to introduce people to shooting sports and firearm safety.

Prerequisites
Ages 13 and up. (Permission is required from academy director for younger students; minors under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian)
A Independence Range Waiver must be completed before class begins

22lr firearms and ammunition are provided

Snacks & Drink:
Just in the Classroom

Open toed shoes, shorts, and low-cut tops should be avoided due to the chance of hot casings or debris touching the skin.

22 Caliber pistols and ammo are supplied. All students shoot 10 rounds of .22 caliber pistol with the instruction of our certified firearms instructors.
