Course Description
Instructor Assisted Gun Buying
This service is designed to guide individuals through the process of purchasing a firearm that suits their needs, experience level, and intended use. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or looking to expand your collection, our experienced instructors will provide expert advice to help you make an informed decision. Each session includes questions and answers, an ergonomic and natural point of aim fitting, and a test session on the range. (Please call the Academy Director for an appointment)
Course Curriculum

Discuss goals for purchasing a firearm - whether for self-defense, sport shooting, hunting, or other purposes.
Explore various firearm categories, including handguns, rifles, and shotguns, and learn about their specific applications.
Assistance in selecting a firearm that fits your hand size, grip style, natural point of aim, and overall comfort.
Guidance on choosing the right caliber based on recoil tolerance, intended use, and ammunition availability.
Opportunity to test various firearms on the range (subject to availability) to find the best match.

Prerequisites
18-years-old and older is recommended. Under 18 years old must be accompanied with a legal guardian.
A Independence Range Waiver must be completed before class begins.
