First Shots is a great way to get started in the shooting sports! Sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF), students are introduced to the shooting sports as a whole, and will learn basic handgun shooting safety and fundamentals. After the classroom learning, students will step onto our range and shoot a .22 pistol one-on-one with one of our amazing instructors.
This is a wonderful introductory course for younger students, those very new to the shooting sports, and shooters who may feel hesitant about learning about shooting. This is a great deal for only $35 and a perfect way to see what the shooting world is all about!
This course has a minimum age limit of 13, but we do make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Please email academy@iishooting.com if you have questions.

Independence Indoor Shooting (IIS) Course Cancellation Policy: Refunds cannot be given for any class. If you must cancel a class, credit for the cost of the course will be applied to your IIS account. Classes may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hour advance notice with no fees; cancelling or rescheduling within 48 hours before class will incur a $25 late reschedule fee. No-shows or day-of cancellations eliminate a seat in the class and will not receive a refund or credit, nor will the class fee be held.
