Class Duration: 4 Hours

Class Cost: $100.00

Prerequisite Knowledge:

To receive the most from this course, it is important that students have a knowledge of the topics covered in our "Intro to the 1911" course. These topics include: 1911 differences, specific 1911 field stripping and cleaning procedures, the proper techniques for carrying a 1911 safely,  1911 manipulations, and specific 1911 nomenclature.

Class Description:

John Browning's 1911 is arguably the most influential pistol in the history of firearms. Today's 1911 handguns remain largely unchanged from their original design. Due to the differences between the 1911 and modern polymer framed firearms, specific training is needed to gain proper technique before carrying a 1911 for self-defense.

With our expert instruction, students will develop a proficiency in skills specific to the 1911, namely:

  • Drawing from a holster in a safe manner
  • Speed and Tactical reloads
  • Clearing common malfunctions
  • Disengaging the thumb safety in high stress situations
  • Maintaining shot accuracy while moving and engaging multiple targets
