Class Duration: 3 Hours

Class Cost: $75.00

Class Description:

Designed by John Moses Browning in the year 1911, the 1911 is a classic that continues to inspire modern gun makers in their current firearm designs. For this reason, understanding the differences between a single action semi-automatic handgun (the 1911) and a double-action/striker-fired handgun (the Glock) is crucial when deciding which to carry for self-defense.

In this course, students will learn:

  • How the 1911 differs from more modern polymer framed firearms.
  • How to field strip and clean a 1911
  • How to appropriately carry a 1911
  • How to manipulate a 1911 during a high-stress self-defense situation
  • How to place accurate shots on a target

Items Needed for Class:

  • An open mind and willing attitude
  • A notepad and pencil
  • A 1911 handgun
  • A belt
  • A holster
  • At least two magazines
