Women's basic pistol 2 is a continuation of our women's basic pistol class. In this class, students will delve deeper into the fundamentals of shooting. Upon conclusion of this class, students should be more comfortable with shooting without assistance on the range. Focus areas of this course include:

  • Universal safety rules

  • Review of basic pistol 1

  • Identifying & clearing handgun malfunctions

  • Types of pistol reloads

  • Importance & benefits of dry fire practice

  • Gun maintenance (basic overview)

  • Holsters and gear

  • Learning to self-diagnose shots

After a review of the material learned in basic pistol, students will learn about different types of pistol reloads and their relevance, how to identify and clear common semi-automatic pistol malfunctions, diagnosing shots, and the importance of dry fire. In addition, instructors will discuss shooting equipment and accessories, and will briefly discuss firearms maintenance.

On the range, students will apply what they've learned, shooting up to 50 rounds at different distances handling reloading and pistol malfunctions, and will learn to diagnose their own shooting skills. After completing basic pistol 2, students should feel more comfortable shooting independently.
